Sunways photovoltaic technology meets with great interest at Intersolar 2010

Sunways AG (FSE: SWW; ISIN DE0007332207) reported on its successful participation in the Intersolar Europe, the largest trade exhibition worldwide for the solar industry, held in mid-June in Munich. In addition to the presentation of new products in the solar module and inverter areas incorporating the leading Sunways technology, visitors could also learn about the broad range of the Company's building-integrated PV solutions. The "Future Cube", an innovative integrated building technology concept, was greatly  acclaimed by architects and installers. The number of visitors to the Sunways exhibition booth increased by 20 percent against the previous year; the percentage of foreign visitors also rose markedly.

Sunways is the photovoltaics partner in "Future Cube", a sustainable construction project initiated by the architecture firm Behnisch: photovoltaics, daylight control, shading, efficient artificial lighting and air conditioning were integrated into an innovative building technology concept. There are hardly any limits to the visual design of a PV facade: for this purpose, Sunways offers highly efficient transparent and colored solar cells from crystalline silicon. A green facade was presented as an example in Munich.

Sunways inverters of the new three-phase NT series (in the 10-, 11- and 12-kilowatt performance categories) have excellent efficiency rates and provide the highest yields. All devices may be used throughout Europe at the touch of a button.  Thanks to further improved efficiency rates of the Sunways solar cells, solar modules of higher performance categories are available: monocrystalline 250-watt peak solar modules and multicrystalline 245-watt peak solar modules. The Company's design-oriented solar module, the Solar Laminate SM 215L, is now also available with an in-roof installation system; the water-repellent system performs the functions of the building envelope and replaces the traditional roofing.

The Intersolar Europe is the most important trade exhibition worldwide for the solar industry. In an exhibition area of 134,000 square meters, 1,880 enterprises presented themselves in Munich; more then 50 percent of them came from abroad.   72,000 visitors from about 150 countries took the opportunity to inform themselves about the most recent solar technology products and solutions.
