In the European Union, buildings account for 40 percent of total energy consumption. The subject of energy efficiency in building construction and renovation is therefore more relevant than ever. In this context, building-integrated photovoltaics are becoming increasingly significant. BIPV use existing surfaces to combine aesthetics and function. At a conference held at RIBA in London, Sunways AG presented its products and solutions and also introduced a project that was recently carried out in Paris: a residential building on Quai de Valmy whose facade is completely clad with emerald green design solar cells.
