R&D: Smart solar energy storage solution with innovative inverter technology from Sunways.

The decentralized storage and use of photovoltaic energy is one of the most important future trends for solar energy supply. Intelligent solutions for a local energy management permit an increased own consumption for system owners and make an active contribution to grid stability. Together with project partners from industry and research Sunways is developing a “Highly efficient and intelligent Photovoltaic Storage System” (Hei-PhoSS).

News: Preliminary insolvency proceedings

On 21 March 2014 the local court of Konstanz at the request of the Management Board of Sunways AG instituted preliminary insolvency proceedings. The court appointed Dr. Thorsten Schleich to preliminary insolvency administrator. The Management Board aimed at a so-called insolvency plan procedure that should allow to preserve the current stock-exchange listed enterprise in connection with a restructuring plan, a waiver of the creditors and an investor in the share capital of the company. But discussions so far let it appear unlikely at this stage that the original goal will be reached. A transferring reorganization seems probable instead. Here, the viable part of a company is sold to new owners.
